AP Studio Art Inquiry

1. Identify the question(s) or inquiry that guided your sustained investigation. It was originally "How can I represent my roots to Louisiana culture through portraits." 2. Describe how your sustained investigation shows evidence of practice, experimentation, and revision guided by your question(s) or inquiry. I have changed my medium for portraits and drawing to digital artwork. Instead of doing portraits of my family members like originally planned,  I have began digital portraits of my family members Mardi Gras mask.

This is my brothers mask. He chose this mask for no other reason other than the fact that it is blue and blue is his favorite color. To make it relate to him I plan to incorporate the autism symbol because he was born with mild autism.

Self Portrait

This project was actually very challenging for me because I don't paint, but this project actually came out better than I thought it would. I feel like I will do better on the next self portrait since I have a little experience in it now.

Character Project

For this project I created an animal based character named Gorilla who has the abilities of a gorilla. Instead of drawing a specific character, I drew a silhouette of a person with an angry gorilla head behind it representing its essence so you can imagine the actual character however you want.
